Summer is coming, and with it a stack of records that haven't left the turntable this month. From throwback soul to the latest R&B: these are our personal favorites from June. Check them out in the webshop.
Jalen Ngonda — Doctrine of Love
Soul as it used to be made, but fresh out of 2026. Ngonda has that warm, timeless voice you immediately fall for, and it really comes into its own on record. He has now released his second album with Daptone Records. Doctrine of Love was released in several variations — we have three in stock, so there's an edition for every collector.
An extra reason to dive in NOW: this autumn he will be performing live in Paradiso and in Groningen. Chances are this record will be spinning non-stop on your turntable by then.
Vulfmon — Vulfnik
Perhaps the record with the most beautiful story of the month. Vulfnik was supposed to be released years ago, but then the pressing plant went bankrupt and the project disappeared into a drawer. With the help of Diggers Factory, it finally succeeded in bringing this record to market — and we are happy about that. For lovers of the Vulfpeck universe, this is a real treat.
This one also came out in three variants, and we sell all three.
Maxwell — Urban Hang Suite
A classic that for years mostly sat on CD in the cupboard, finally back on vinyl. This reissue is simply a must for anyone who loves neo-soul. Put it on, dim the lights, and you'll immediately understand why this album has endured for decades. Start here if you want to build your soul collection seriously.
Musiq Soulchild — Luvanmusiq
And speaking of neo-soul: this classic from 2007 was unavailable on vinyl for years, and has now finally been re-released. The album debuted at number 1 on the Billboard charts, with 'B.U.D.D.Y.' as its big single, and is still considered one of Musiq's strongest records. Pure, warm R&B to get lost in.
This reissue is also a beautiful item to own: a limited edition double LP on marbled red-with-clear vinyl, in a gatefold sleeve. Limited edition, so gone is gone.
Kehlani — Kehlani
R&B in its purest form in 2026. You probably know the banger 'Folded', but this brand new, self-titled album contains much more beauty — including collaborations with big names like Lil Wayne and Usher. A record that works just as well in the background as when you sit down and give it your full attention.
PJ Morton — Saturday Night / Sunday Morning
One of the most beautiful surprises of the month, and honestly also a small triumph for the store: PJ Morton's records are usually hard to get, but this brand new album by the Gumbo singer is readily available in the Netherlands. So get it while you can.
And what a record. It's a double album with two faces: a "Saturday Night" side full of R&B and soul, and a "Sunday Morning" side that is entirely gospel. The Grammy winner and Maroon 5 keyboardist thus encapsulates his entire musical life — from the going out vibe to the church pew.
Theo Katzman — For Superman
We conclude within the Vulf family: Theo Katzman is a Vulfpeck colleague of Vulfmon, and has just released this new EP. Exactly the kind of record you walk into a record store for instead of clicking a playlist — quirky, beautifully made, and straight from the store to your home.
